AB Like the American Indians of the continental US and Canada, the indigenous Hawaiians feel a very spiritual connectedness to the land and plants and the ola (life) within them. A traditional Hawaiian blessing was performed before beginning restoration activities in the dry forest habitats of Haleakalā Volcano on Maui.
