Call for Papers

The journal Native Plants Journal announces a call for papers for 2024 (volume 25).

The journal seeks manuscript addressing topics under the broad scope of native plants. We welcome papers on any aspect of understanding, growing, conserving, and restoring plants native to North America.

NPJ supports research related to any aspect of plants native to North America:

  • Conservation
  • Restoration
  • Landscaping
  • Greenhouse or field propagation
  • Agronomic seed increase
  • Genetics, phylogenetics, populations, communities, ecosystems, and landscapes
  • Fundamental research to help understand native plants outside of applied purposes

Propose a Special Issue

Anyone with an important or cleaver idea is invited to contact NPJ and propose a Special Issue.

The style guide for the journal is available here. Materials can be submitted online at http://npj.msubmit.net/

Native Plants Journal is a forum for dispersing practical information about planting and growing North American (Canada, Mexico, and the United States) native plants for conservation, restoration, reforestation, landscaping, highway corridors, and related uses. It includes articles that are useful to and understandable by growers and planters of North American native plants and that contribute significantly to the scientific literature.
