Is it just me, or have you also noticed that we seem to be living in argumentative times? Even complex concepts and events are often overly simplified into two opposing sides—pro and con, good or bad, right or wrong—even though rarely are there only two sides. And so although people regularly argue, few people take the time to actually present an effective, carefully crafted argument, as defined by Merriam Webster’s Dictionary as “a coherent series of reasons, statements, or facts intended to support or establish a point of view.”
