Abstract
We present our techniques for producing Rocky Mountain juniper (Juniperus scopulorum Sarg. [Cupressaceae]) from seeds in a container nursery in Idaho. Our combination of warm, moist treatment and long stratification along with our use of germinants rather than direct sowing yields a reliable, uniform annual crop of seedlings that are 10 to 12 in (25 to 30 cm) tall with 3 to 6 mm RCD.
